This entire weekend our town has been celebrating its existence with all sorts of activities.
http://www.peekskillcelebration.com/ We have lived here 5 years and this is the first year we were around for the festivities. Well, yesterday my son and his wife came up to see what was going on. We went down to the riverside and they had food vendor, arts and crafts and a ferry ride down the beautiful Hudson River to another rivertown. We had a great time. All the while I was hoping that they would love it so much they would consider moving here. My son and his wife (V) are both teachers and are sort of looking around to move in the near future. The prospects of being near the both of them and my future grandchildren makes me what to burst!!
Later on in the day our friends L&M came up for the evening fireworks. They were spectacular!! I think the best I have ever seen. We had alot of laughs and really enjoyed ourselves.
I think there are more things happening today... but M and I are going to bike ride this morning...knit and work on the house....nice Sunday...just the way I like it...
